1- I had never returned a product I had already used or consumed to get a full refund. Customer service in France? Is far from charitable, understanding, and generally speaking helpful. Rated F for Failed. The US however get on the Dean’s List. No comparison.
2- I had never purchased bagged ice. No lies. I don’t even . . . → Read More: Before I came to America… (Part 1)

Tonight, just before I left the office, an email from IT caught me off guard and, shortly after, gave me inspiration.
The email was a notice to all employees that a new policy regarding . . . → Read More: Declutter Tuesday – Corporate Policy

When I think of what will always differentiate me from most Americans, many things come to mind.
Let’s talk about money and expression of wealth.

Yesterday was a big declutter day. For a very good cause. And actually, by accident!
My cousin just moved from France to DC, she will be working for the French school there and signed a 3-year contract. She is here with her 11-year old son. A new beginning, at almost 50. Another shot at the American Dream!

This third month of blogging has been rather interesting all circumstances considered…
Not surprisingly, I have slowed my posting cadence. The pressure was not sustainable, and I remembered my everyday life is my real life. That of play with my son, work to make money, love to make me whole, drive like a maniac to keep me . . . → Read More: Blog Stats after 3 Months

Eighteen months ago, I didn’t really know unconditional love.
I did not know quite yet that Pitocin was the Beast, and Epidural the Beauty. But I was told I was in for a happily ever after, and that part was actually true.

I don’t know what I was thinking. White clothing are no longer in season; I was not in love with the fabric; I liked the bargain (on sale plus 20% off, how to say no); I LOVED that it was a size zero.Yep. First time at Chico’s. I felt good about that!
But I still did not . . . → Read More: Declutter Tuesday – Reject

This morning my son looked back at me in the rear-view mirror for the first time. And he smiled at me with his largest grin, with a low giggle as he stretched his neck just a bit more to see the rest of my face.
I cannot share a picture of it, but this image is now . . . → Read More: In the rear-view mirror

Not feeling so hot
Turning AWAY from the cookie??
Venga had surgery on her paw earlier this week due to breaking her thumb’s toenail too close to the flesh. Ouch!
She woke up slowly from the anesthesia. Cookies were the last thing on her mind. (That is NOT like her!)
Good news though: she is totally back to . . . → Read More: Wordless Whenever – Recovery
